About Unimeet

Unimeet Gothenburg creates activities, meeting places and networking opportunities.

The overall purpose of Unimeet is to welcome international students and internationally recruited staff at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg and show that the Gothenburg area is an attractive place to study, live and work in. Gothenburg is a significant centre for academic research and education of high international standard, with around 60,000 students and nearly 10,000 employees study and work at the two universities.

Unimeet organizes activities to strengthen the link between studies, career and working life, creating meeting places and networking, as well as social and cultural activities. Unimeet Gothenburg wants to create life-long memories, great opportunities for the future and a chance to meet with fellow internationals in a new environment.

Throughout the year Unimeet Gothenburg will arrange various events:

Career Day

Meet and network with business industry and organizations looking to connect and work with international talents. During the event you can also attend hands-on career planning seminars and workshops, take a professional portrait photo, and lots more.

Company visits

Unimeet organizes several visits to companies and organizations, ranging from up and coming companies to established world-wide companies. These cover several industries sectors and aim to connect students to the employment market in Gothenburg, giving them hands-on understanding of an organization and insights into a specific industry as well as opportunities to network with company representatives and industry experts.
