Unimeet Gothenburg’s Career Development Bootcamp is a free, 5-week online program in February and March. The program includes 3 interactive workshops, practical tasks, and online guidance to help you take the next step in your career.
The program is led by Alena Ipanova, an Intercultural Leadership trainer and executive coach. With years of experience mentoring individuals and working with industry leaders, Alena will guide you through the essential skills and strategies to succeed in Sweden.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND APPLICATION
Unimeet Gothenburg welcomes international students and researchers at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers to join this 5-week Career Development Bootcamp. The program is designed to provide a practical and hands-on approach to help you refine your CV, improve your communication and networking skills, create an actionable plan to move closer to your career goals and understand the Swedish job market.
This program includes three digital workshops on February 27th, March 6th, and March 27th, all held from 15:00 to 16:30. Participants will receive a handbook to consistently work on their career paths throughout the program. Each workshop is complemented by micro-tasks to be completed before each session, ensuring active engagement and learning. Additionally, there will be guest speakers to address the most common questions and provide valuable insights. Participation in this program is free, but it requires your full commitment and active participation in both workshops and individual tasks.
Program Modules
Module 1: Career in Sweden – Mindset to Maximize Your Opportunities
The first module is focused on understanding the Swedish job market, cultural norms, and strategies to thrive in Sweden’s work environment. Participants will evaluate their personal challenges and gain clarity on career goals and possibilities within Sweden.
Module 2: Nailing Your CV
This module provides a practical, hands-on experience to enhance your CV, and refine your LinkedIn profile. Through workshops, group activities, peer feedback and professional guidance you’l receive support to stand out as a strong candidate in Sweden.
Module 3: Mentorship and Networking in Sweden
In this module we will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone to explore mentorship opportunities and build practical networking skills. This module offers insights into navigating Swedish networking culture and actionable steps to create and grow a professional network to support your career aspirations.
Module 4: Personal Action Plan with Peer Review and Professional Guidance
The final module is self-guided and focuses on creating a Personal Action Plan that aligns with your career goals. Participants will work on their plans independently, followed by a peer review session and professional guidance from the bootcamp trainer, Alena Ipanova, to exchange feedback and refine their strategies.

This program demands 100% commitment. While we do not guarantee you a job, we promise a transformative learning experience that will stretch your comfort zone, improve your practical skills, and help you build the confidence needed to pursue your career goals in Sweden. Expect to devote a minimum of 2.5 hours per week to program activities and self-learning.
PROGRAM CERTIFICATE
Participants who complete all the program tasks and attend all the workshops will receive a Program Certificate to recognize their dedication and effort.
