Jan 21th, 12:15-13:45

Welcome to Digital Career Day: Education & Preparation Part 2 arranged by Unimeet Gothenburg.

Digital Career Day: Education & Preparation is a two-part webinar about self-promotion, networking, and finding a job.

On Jan 21th, you will meet the company SKF for an interview about what kind of career option they can offer for an international employee.

You will also take part in "Ida Sjöholm – LinkedIn, part 2" where she will teach you how to build your own professional brand and how to find job opportunities on LinkedIn.

Ann-Sofie Zaks (to the left) is the Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Head of People Transformation at SKF. Aline Novaes (to the right) is from Brazil and has been living in Gothenburg for 4 years. Aline has been part of SKF’s Global Graduate Program, and she is now working as a Global Category Buyer in Group Purchasing.

SKF is a global sustainability-striving bearing and seal manufacturing company with headquarters in Gothenburg. They manufacture and supply bearings, seals, lubrication management, condition monitoring, and maintenance services. SKF is the largest bearing manufacturer in the world and is represented in more than 130 countries and has around 17,000 distributor locations worldwide.

What kind of career opportunities can international talent find at SKF? What kind of competencies are SKF most interested in or think will be interesting for the coming future? Does SKF have summer jobs and master’s thesis opportunities?

These and more questions will be answered during the interview with SKF.

Next up is Ida Sjöholm – a digital strategist and communicator, who helps individuals and organizations succeed on LinkedIn. By alternating theory with practical examples and her own reflections, she will help us become better at promoting and presenting ourselves in the ever-growing digital era.

During part 2 of her LinkedIn webinar,
Ida Sjöholm will teach you how being proactive on LinkedIn can open doors to the Swedish labor market. She will be talking about LinkedIn netiquette and finding a job when many of the available vacancies never get posted. You also get some valuable advice on how to build your own professional brand. Don't miss out on this opportunity to develop your self-promoting skills.
